About Finvoice

Finvoice is an electronic invoice standard used in Finland for exchanging invoices between businesses. It is a nationally recognized standard for electronic invoicing and is supported by the Finnish government. The standard defines the structure, content and format of the invoice, making it easier for companies to exchange invoices electronically and reducing the administrative burden associated with manual invoice processing. Finvoice is an XML-based standard and supports both national and cross-border invoicing between companies in different countries. The Finvoice standard includes the following information in an electronic invoice:

• Information about the buyer and seller, including contact details and VAT numbers
• Details about the products or services being invoiced, including descriptions and quantities

• Information about the invoicing process, such as the invoice date and number
